There once was a place, whispered of in legend, hidden in your dreams, long gone, but never forgotten...
Many centuries ago, on the barren Lancastrian wastelands between Blackborn and the Priest Town, there stood a mighty keep, known as Castle Blackscar.
A thriving den of vice and inequity, the castle was ruled by a wicked Lord with a heart of iron, Morbius Blackscar. The self proclaimed ‘king’ of his own kingdom.
Feared by all, he surrounded himself with a motley band of seers, alchemists and sorcerors – each tasked with granting him his greatest wish; everlasting life.
It was a mage named Asmodeus that eventually found the spell that would grant the king’s unholy desire, in a book so ancient the very tapestry of time itself was scribed within its pages.
As the spell took hold, the magic consumed the court, turning them into creatures of the undead realm for evermore, but all was not well in Scar’s Kingdom...
Enraged by his cruel ways, the townsfolk and villagers had taken up arms. Fuelled by hatred, they were determined to plunder the castle. Sword met sword in mighty conflict, but the undead cannot be vanquished. In a bid to escape, Asmodeus sealed their souls inside his enchanted mirror, before slipping away unseen into the night.
Stone was wrenched from stone, the castle burned and the halls where plundered, Scar’s Kingdom was no more.
But the roots of evil never die. hidden in the enchanted mirror, the legion of Morbius waited, unseen, unrelenting, undead, and now, almost eight centuries later, the Undead Court has returned; set free by the screams of Halloween, The Undead King is back, bringing with him your worst nightmares.
By the magic of Asmodeus’ enchanted mirror he can invade your dreams, twisting them into nightmares which manifest in his new Kingdom. With every scream in your world, the undead King grows more powerful, scream by scream, stone by stone, the spectral spires of Scar’s Kingdom are being rebuilt, cemented by the blood of ages… No longer Scar’s Kingdom, but SCARE Kingdom!
For 2011 King Morbius has brought to life 5 evening attractions Voodoo Bayou – an outdoor adventure set in a swampy bayou, Day of the Dead - a spirited saunter through Mexico's ancient horror-day, HMS Hell - a creaking shipwreck of underwater horrors, Blood Bath II - a gory fear fest that will push you to the limits of fear itself! and The Cauldon - a whirling waltzer ride.
During the day Hocus Pocus will enchant guests under 10 years of age as magic comes to life.
In addition to the main attractions interactive Street Theatre characters will roam the park to mix and mingle with guests, providing a unique photograph opportunity and in the Wicked Witch Cafe and Bloody Mary's Bar a selection of hot and cold themed catering and drinks will be available, and don't miss LuciFEAR's Mirror for dire words of warning!
